Dan has trained and campaigned dogs from all over the United States and Canada.  He won his first field trial at the age of nine.  Currently he is the only trainer in history to ever win four consecutive field trial futurities, including the National Futurity Championship.  He also trained and campaigned “Bit of Bandee,” the only Brittany to ever win three Futurities including the National Futurity.  He is the only trainer to ever place three dogs four times at the VCA National Championship (2006).

In October of 1995 Dan retired from professional dog training and devoted his time and energy to performing seminars throughout the United States.  Other endeavors include making television appearances, producing dog training videos and writing bird dog training articles for national publications.  Currently he is writing a book entitled “Tales of Tails.”

Training Your Own Dog

For the more discriminating owner, Dan offers his two day Seminar.  Dan’s two day seminar will take you from puppy to a finished mannerly companion.  Dan’s techniques are used by many professional trainers and amateur trainers alike.  For less than the cost of a week’s training, Dan will teach you his proven methods and techniques.  Why spend thousands of dollars on hunting trips taking an untrained dog?  Saturday is classroom style from 7:30 to 4:00; Sunday is field work, Dan will work with you and your dog 7:30 to ?:??.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided as well as gifts for all attendees.  Dan will teach all of the basic obedience as well as pointing, backing and retrieving.  These are two fun filled days with you and your companion.

The techniques Dan teaches are gentle and positive.  The two day seminar allows Dan the opportunity to teach you in depth Dan’s personal methods.  He limits the number of attendees to allow personal attention for each attendee.  You are sure to learn the methods you need to train your personal companion.  Dan looks forward to working with you and your favorite companion.  Don’t miss this opportunity, enroll now!
